Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) hosted their Summer Home And Garden Expo  at its branch on Ward Avenue in Mandeville on July 28th, with several local businesses partnering for the success of the event, including:  Moorland Development Company, Green Sun Energy Plus, Vicbern Aluminum and Asphalt Roofing  and H&L Agro

The display booths and entertainment drew the attention of the patrons, who were treated to a special presentation by Mr. Earl James, the Merchandising Team Leader of the Sales Department at Rapid True Value, who presented on the topic of DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Bathroom Renovation tips, highlighting products and how to install them.

Mr. James also highlighted how homeowners could change the appearance of their bathroom during the session “Smart Tiles” and with the assistance of a participant, he demonstrated how easy it was to use the tiles, which impressed the audience.  The tiles which are available at Rapid True Value are available in various colours at an affordable price.

Ms. Simone Thomas, Mandeville Branch Manager of JMMB said, “We know that persons are always looking for ideas, ways to improve and feel the JMMB culture and brand in their homes, so we decided to  host the expo.  For those who would like to have that happen right away, we will be happy to provide the financing.  This also provides our clients and partners the opportunity to network.”

“We have been getting good feedbacks from our clients,” Ms. Thomas said, adding that many persons did not realize that they provide mortgages with twenty-five years to pay for their homes.

On JMMB’s partnerships with other businesses at the expo, Ms. Thomas said, “Largely we have connected with our partners and they are offering specials on many of the products and services they offer to JMMB clients.  A number of our partners are on board and they are enjoying the fact that persons are engaged around the services they offer and that we at JMMB can provide the financing.”

When asked about the impact JMMB has been having on the community, Ms. Thomas said, “We have been here for over eighteen years in the community of Mandeville and one of the things that JMMB can pride itself on is client care.  Not because we just say it, but because clients actually have validated that we provide exceptional client care and for that reason, word has been spread about the services you can receive at JMMB.”

Commenting on what she hoped patrons would take-away from the Expo, Ms. Thomas said, “We all have goals, each of those goals have some financial impact.  At the end of the day we want to protect you, protect your home and protect your family.  I want the take away today to be that we can all work together and achieve these goals for the best interest of Jamaica,” noting that a follow-up event will be held in September of this year.

According to Ms. Stacy Neil, the event planner/coordinator, “We wanted to basically put on this expo so that our clients could benefit from it and also our partners could expose what they have to offer, resulting in a win-win situation,” she said.
